May 15th, 2012 | Author: On November 4, 2008 after another bruising and divisive campaign as the night wears thin it becomes clear for the second time this decade that the Presidential candidate with the most popular votes is not the winner of the Electoral College system. That next morning Americans wake in disbelief with the world asking how did this happen again.
As the weeks pass the popularly chosen candidate decides not to concede, as Democrat Al Gore did in 2000, leading to a Constitutional crisis. In this state of confusion, many Americans take to the streets in support of their favorite candidate, further dividing the nation while believing that their visible show of support could sway the Supreme Court. However, this time the Supreme Court is demanding a political resolution to the crisis.
The United States of America is now the only country in the world with an Electoral College system, which has four times prevented the candidate with the most popular votes from becoming President.

ONS tycoon Sheldon Adelson heeft aangekondigd een bedrag van miljard op gigantische investeringen Vegas-style casino complexen in Madrid en Barcelona. Het project verkeert nog in de conceptfase, maar is ook de ire van burgerlijke actiegroepen die beweren dat de steden in
“We zijn op zoek naar bij twaalf integrated resorts / 3.000 kamers. EEN mini Las Vegas, ongeveer half zo groot als de Las Vegas strip in Spanje voor de Europese markt,” Adelson zei op een persconferentie in Macau.
Adelson ook heeft gezegd dat hij hoopt dat enkele concessies uit Madrid en Barcelona dat zou helpen om dergelijke een enorm project. Hij stelde voor het loszetten arbeidsvoorschriften en fast-tracking planning voor de complexe regelgeving de wolkenkrabbers.
De gokindustrie mediamagnaat zou besluiten het bedrijf Las Vegas Sands heeft geschat dat de complexe genereert maar liefst 300.000 banen en brengen 11 miljoen nieuwe toeristen naar Spanje, vakantie-uitgaven verhogen met €15 miljard in de komende tien jaar.
Supporters van Adelson’s project aanvraag zou een uitweg uit Spanje de verlammende economische recessie, waar de werkloosheid reeds voorbij is 20 %. Ondertussen, tegenstanders beweren zij criminaliteit en prostitutie in beide koersen Madrid en Barcelona.
