The news was released recently that the US has a plan to bomb Iran which I have no doubt is true but there are many things which need to be said to clarify the situation. As a former soldier I have no doubt whatsoever that there is a plan to bomb Iran but I can assure you that there are probably plans to bomb a whole lot of other places that would surprise you if you knew who they were. The purpose of having a plan is to not get caught by surprise by an attack or provocation by the military forces of other countries. That being said there are probably many different plans for operations against most every country in the world. They are called contingency plans which mean that they will be executed only during specific circumstances. There just can’t be a contingency plan for every conceivable situation so a plan is developed whenever the possibility of a threat from a certain area arises. Since the Iranian government is so determined to produce nuclear weapons we need to be prepared in the event that they do get these weapons and decide to use them.
