July 6th, 2012 | Author: Golf carts were introduced in 1932 and since then it has gained widespread popularity all over the world. They are used in a variety of other fields other than just golfing. They can be considered as a multi utility vehicle. They are used by the staff and also the students to commute inside the college premises. They are also used in case of any medical emergencies. Silence is of utmost priority here and hence carts are the best to use. The per kilometer driving cost of a cart is very less when compared to a commercial car. So it is very economical to own a cart. Even though it does not possess much power and speed, it is well suited for our personal short distance journeys and residential use.
Special modifications are available in order to suit the vehicle to a particular terrain and land conditions. Taking the example of a golf course, the golf cart can be modified with special accessories to suit to the condition of the terrain. If the terrain is rough and full of steep slopes then the cart can be modified with off road tires and a special engine that can deliver more power and torque. Additional modifications like ball cleaners, cooling tray and windshields are also modifications that go very well with a cart.
