Tabriz House of Constitution can be visited when you reach Motahari Ave in the city of Tabriz. Located near the Tabriz bazaar, this building has great historical significance. Popularly known as Khaneh Mashrouteh, this building was used as a rendezvous for the activists, leaders and sympathizers involved in the movement.
You will notice about the greatness of the leaders Bagher Khan, Sattar Khan, Haji Mirza Aqa Farshi and Seqat-ol-Eslam while studying Iranian history. The structure came into existence in 1868 due to the efforts of Haj Vali Me’mar-e Tabrizi. The building has two stories with many halls and rooms. The Significance of the Structure
Haj Mehdi Koozekonani ordered the Tabriz House of Constitution to be built in 1868.
The structure is reminiscent of Qajar style of architecture. Being a successful merchant in Tabriz bazaar, Haj Mehdi Koozekonani initiated the Constitution revolution and the consequent movement in Tabriz. He funded the revolution and became a major activist in it.
